  • Students must complete 2 tests and 2 assignments (each module)
  • The final assessment is a comprehensive test with MCQs and descriptive questions

Course Description

This course is designed with the necessity of individuals pursuing careers in food and nutrition in mind, taking a holistic approach in their counseling and diet intervention skills, to have the upper hand in achieving careers in this field.

  • Define and explain the principles of healthy eating, nutrition, and sustainability.
  • Recognize the relationship between nutrition, environment, and cultural/social factors, and apply the principles of balanced diets.
  • Provide basic nutritional counseling using holistic approaches and evaluate dietary patterns.
  • Analyze dietary trends, evaluate evidence-based recommendations, and cultivate informed attitudes toward food and nutrition.
