The course requirements for a Yoga

MODULE I: Theory (15 Hrs)
The scientific meaning of yoga and Meditation. The eightfold path of
yoga. Importance of Yoga. Common requirements of Yoga practice knowledge. Time
and place, Food habits, cleanliness, clothing, guidance, and relaxation.
Meaning of asana, its types and principles. Meaning of Pranayama, its types and
principles. Discussion on benefits of pranayama and various asanas. Brief
introduction about yoga mudra and discussion using pancha tatvas and
principles.
MODULE
II: Practical
(15
Hrs)
General & Specific Warm-up Exercises (Any 6), Suryanamaskara,
Dhyana, (Meditation for a few minutes) , Pranayama (Sukha pranayama, Bhramari
pranayama), Neck and shoulder rotation exercises, Asanas in standing position
(Any 3), Asanas in a sitting position (Any 3), Asanas in prone & supine
laying positions (Each position 2), Kriyas: Kapalabhati and Trataka, Practice
of Basic Mudras (Chinmudra, PranaMudra, HakiniMudra, Hrudayamudra etc.)
Mode of Evaluation: Theory &
Practical Test – 01 & Assignment – 01 (Each Module)
